Well, finally an end to this tale of woe. I went by the day after the last post and the dealer was CLOSED. Apparently, the middle of riding season is the perfect time for a motorcycle shop to close down for two weeks. They opened back up today, so i called. turns out that they fixed it on the 18th of August. Even though the shop was closed, one of the mechanics kept working on my bike. The big problem ended up being in the wiring harness, something about the negative wire that goes to the body was broken. They tried to email me, but had my address wrong in the system. Say la vie I guess. I was TDY for a week and the weather was crap the other. I think the warranty definitely paid for itself this time. They said that it was about 1500 Euros worth of work. I ended up paying 90 for them topping off the oil, putting gas in the tank, etc. At this point, after 2 months, I am just glad to have her home. Definitely a little different ride than I have gotten re-used to on the Sportster.
