Guess I'm saying the shock as it looks like it would bottom before anything else. I rode 200 miles today, in the rain by the way haha, 75-80 ml down the highway, over bridges, etc. Not a problem at all. I looked at those blocks and seem like they could have a lot of stress on them. Seemed safer to me to lower the shock. I woukdnt cut anymore than 1 coil out though, then your shock wouldn't have enough travel and could bottom. Try it, if you don't like it, you were gonna buy new ones anyway....

I just bought the 1.75" lowering blocks from DK Custom Products and am thrilled. And I am not noticing any negative effect on the handling whatsoever. I am 130 pounds and do not ride passengers. Needed to get lower to the ground rather than doing it for looks (My sundowner seat raised me up significantly and I needed to offset that rise in height).
Price is right, and despite a little confusion with the instructions that came with them, hubby said the install went pretty smoothly!
