Now I know phone video doesn't do it justice but you can get an idea, it is a bit loud so I will be getting the bigger quieter ones soon
This was a super easy mod, just cut off the end of the pipe, pushed the baffle and cat out, they are connected on my bike. Then just drilled the hole for the inserts bolted them on and done.
Also everything else is stock, for now... Gunna eventually just get an air cleaner and fuel management system of some sort. My main goal is just to make it run cool and better. I don't need a ton more power. It's a plus but rather have it run good and squeeze every bit of MPG out of it. (Daily driver)
The guys over at DK are awesome by the way!
If you are going to change out the TTI's, I would go to the "W" style. Generates a bit more low and mid range power, and will deepen the tone slightly.
nice difference in the sound. i also hate the tapered ends on those stock pipes. good idea to cut them off like that, but i think i would have cut them off just a little bit more...right about where the pipe begins the taper. that would look really cool imo.
You will get used to the sound. At first I was like holy ***** I'm going to
get a ticket, but have since been around local police and got followed down
the highway by a trooper and none of them gave me a second look. Now that
I have gotten used to the sound they aren't loud enough anymore! lol
