Powervision/tuning experts, need support.
Ordered the Powervision from Fuelmoto with a preloaded map. The map says "TW-555", which made me wonder if they loaded the wrong map. But they answered my e-mail with it was the closest they had, and I should do some autotune-runs.
Well, bike was sputtering and behaving badly when cold on low rpms. After some autotuning that is fixed.
Still a lot of backfiring when I release the throttle ( which doesn't really bother me ).
But the last week or so, I think my motor's been pinging. Strange noise when I give full throttle, then goes away. It's been 90 degrees for the last couple of weeks, which is waaay more than it usually is up here in northern Norway, so that might be a cause of the pinging (?)...
Bike is not dynoed, and I really don't wanna do that either untill I go stage3 ( 8 hour ride to nearest dyno-center, and probably $700-$800 ).
So is a good dyno the only cure, or can any of you experts help me out? Manual map-setup maybe?
I don't see the TW 555 and the SE 204 as being even remotely similar.
.555 lift vs .508, duration, lift at TDC, 30 degrees of overlap as opposed to 40, open/close timing.
I also think the SE 204 is one of the best cams going. Highly underrated.
Wish I had one but I didn't want to go through what you're going through and didn't want to spend the money for the SEPST and the requisite TTD (test to destruction) time on the dyno.
Good luck. Let us know how you make out

Just sent them a new email ( " allow up to three businessdays to recieve your map" ). Hopefully they will sort this one out....

Hopefully you are not getting backfire but just decel pop.
The theory about the atotune pro is that you tune correcting VE tables which is first and most important. once you see the biggest changes are getting minute you then go into Winpv and turn max fuel learn to 0 and turn max spark learn to 10. This gives the ecm lots of extra timing and the autotune takes out what it does not need. After that you put the AT pro unit back in the box, remove the WB O2 sensors and replace your narrow bands and then forget about tuning for a while. --> but you need to have the AT pro to do this. So you will need that dyno.
Around here the original dyno costs alot, but if something gets changed later it only costs a fraction to rectify.
Hoping Fuel-moto will come back with a response, I send them the log from my last session. Anyways, this hot weather will probably be over in a day or two.
We use 95/98 octane over here ( I'm using 95 ). But it's a different system than in the US, so you can take away 3-4 points. Prabably the same as yours 91.
If the pinging doesn't go away, and Fuel-moto won't be able to help, I'll just try the 98 and see if that helps.
PS! Going easy on the throttle is not an option
