I started out on a '78 Honda Hawk 400 (don't laugh). Then I went to an '81 Suzuki GS1100GK. Next I got an '81 Gold Wing. After4 years of riding these busted old broke down things I graduated to my '07 Street Bob, and only at the tender age of 32. I don't know if it's just that I'm still appreciating having a bike that I know will start every time I go out to it, or the fact that it's a Harley, but I'm definitely in love.

Like F4Mechusmc, I started on a Rupp Mini bike. Loved that thing. Wish I still had it. 3 wheelers, 4 wheelers, and on to the crotch rockets (Katana, ZX-6R). Had to grow up and get a Harley. Will never go back.

I too started out on the Briggs an Stratton powered mini bikes and worked my way up through dirt bikes to mid sized street bikes and big dual sports for most of 30 years. This is my first Harley and will most likely be my last. The truth is I'm just not that impressed with it.It doesn't help that my last bike an SV650 was faster, quicker, better handling and almost as comfy for about a third the price. After riding that for six years the Dyna just doesn't feel like much of an upgrade to me.I've also never owned anything really fast so I'm looking to get a Speed Triple or a big bore crotch rocket next.

Correction on mine. I was thinking of my age now, but I was 55 when I bought my first Harley.
