PC V install with check engine light on after install
Hey guys, just did a stage 1 on my bike and used the PC V. My check engine light came on and I got some error codes on my ECM. I got all of the codes to clear except the code p0031.....from what I've read these errors are absolutely normal but I just cant get this code to clear. Anybody know anything about this? Please Help! Thanks
with my 2012 street glide using the pcv only you don't use the 02 senors. With auto tune you use Bosch sensors.
Perhaps with the new bikes-2014- you use them for just the pcv. Not sure
did you install the O2 sensor eliminators? a pcV overrides the O2 sensors, so if they are still feeding information to the ECM your code is recurring. You should have received two little caps in the kit. The front one is easy to find, it hangs just under the VR. The other is found under the seat.
The little caps receive and send the signal back to the ecm so it seems normal. If you removed the O2 sensors from the head pipe you still need to add the O2 sensor eliminators.

I just installed my PC V after pipes and stage 1. Both O2 sensor plugs to the BCM or ECM are together under the right side cover. As stated, you should've had two jumper caps that came with the PC V. Unplug the O2 sensor plugs and insert both jumper caps to bypass the data being sent to the ECM as the PC V will now control it. You can even unplug the actual O2 sensors from the pipes if you have the appropriate plugs for the header pipes. If you are still getting errors after that, I would ask if you downloaded the appropriate map for your bike and PC V.
I remember two plugs that came with the tuner. We plugged one in on the left hand side where all the tuner plugs plugged into the ECM. We couldn't find the spot to plug in the other plug so I'm guessing that is whats causing the error code. Does this other plug go under the seat?

On an '07 FXDB it's down near the voltage regulator (lower front of the bike just behind front wheel). Sometimes easier to find by trailing the actual O2 sensor on the front exhaust pipe back down to the voltage regulator area
