I've got a squeak when going over bumps and by bouncing the bike up and down yesterday in the driveway when I got home from a ride I determined that it's coming from somewhere back under my rear. So, I imagine it's either coming from the shock pivots or the swingarm. I can't really tell because I have to be sitting on the bike to get enough movement to make the noise. Question is if the swingarm bearings are sealed or if there's a grease zerk there somewhere? I don't have the shop manual but by just looking and feeling around I'm pretty sure it's sealed. The only reason I ask is because the Vulcan 900 I had last had grease points for the arm. Any other ideas for where the noise is coming from? I don't think it's a problem but it's just a little annoying. Bike doesn't have many miles on it yet - around 900 (I know, it's been a busy summer and I haven't gotten time to ride as I want - going to remedy that in the fall). Any input is appreciated....

A rodent somewhere it shouldn't be?
Sorry, couldn't help myself.....
Anyway, remove the seat, and have a look. I have a bunch of rubbing going on under mine. I put some neoprene material(scraps for an old warm water wetsuit) where I saw the rubbing marks. MY noise went away. Don't know if it's the sundowner set, as I haven't had the stocker recovered, yet.
Two big culprits are usually the top shock mount shrouds, or the fender strut covers. If you put your one hand on these while sat on the bike you'll feel them squeeking.. if you are able to replicate the sound.
