Daymaker Questions
I hit something in the road tonight while it was raining. Only got it with front tire and I was lucky there was no damage. I was very lucky it didn't wreck me. I have a lot of trouble seeing the road in the rain. A wet road is just too black. I also have trouble seeing the road meeting a car and in between street lights in town.
My headlight just seems a little too low on dim and a little too high on bright.
My main concern especially after tonight is getting the road brighter at night in the rain.
Is this headlight that will cost more than one of my payments the answer?
Also does the dim light stay on when you turn on the brights? Did you have to have any other kit for a 2012 FXDC? Thanks.

the stock headlights aren't that bad, of course you should be able to adjust the angle a bit to get it to work better..
but if you're driving a lot at night I would say the Daymaker is worth the money, yes both the low & high stay on at the same time,, and it makes your bike stand out a lot better during the day too.
you could get an hid kit if you want to go though the trouble of mounting the ballast and hiding the wiring but to me why not just get the daymaker.

Several hundred dollars perhaps?
I installed an HID kit in mine and after about 6 months of the dash light being on from thinking the bulb was burnt out and not being able to keep my high beam on for more than a couple of seconds without it switching off I finally got sick of it and yanked everything out. I bought an OSRAM 80/100 and when we were riding back from Sturgis we got in late at night so we rode side by side and I swear this bulb put out more usable light and penetrated farther than my buddy's daymaker. http://www.ebay.com/itm/151072502415...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I'm curious as to how long you've been using that bulb? I had a 90/100 watt in the past that that was used in a 5.75" Springer bucket. It burned, discolored & deformed the H4 connector & wiring in the bucket. The connector was damaged enough from the heat that it had to be replaced.
