06 Wide Glide Chrome Going Bad

Wow i just noticed quite q bit of chrome is going bad blistering up from underneight 8 months old Garage kept been washed and dried & waxed weakley
dealer said 1 time replacement on factory parts so find all bad chrome or weight till 2 years are just about over and do it all my othere bikes never rusted like this

Wow you live right on the Coast? Only thing I can think of is that the salt air is doing it. It was easy to keep a car in mint condition inSan Diego, except the ones by the water, which were total rust buckets.

same thing happened to my buddies w/g it was replaced under warranty

roger that on the rims and spokes. mine look like doo doo. cleaned semi regularily and still rust spots. also a couple of rust spots on my fork lowers opn the chrome band just above/ on the lowers. and a cracked upper shock/spring cover dealy bo. not even bothering with harley on any of these issues. if it went crappy this fast i don't want another one of their parts on the bike. slowly but surely swapping out all the factory poo parts out with descent aftermarket parts. who cares if they warranty parts out? just gonna get more crappy parts out of them. rather opay and get a better product. just my .02 though.

Do you have a pool ? Heard storing your bike in the same location as pool/hottub chemicals does this. Read it on here a few years ago. Do a search.

Whell i donot live by the water i am inland and i do not have a pool or supplys ihave other toys with chrome that do not rust like this and they stay outside my wrecker and a 1925 steel t hotrod truck and my lo rider that i sold a few years ago do not have problem ?
