Solid wheel here but like everyone says, you'll be going down in diameter and likely in tire width if you go to a solid wheel. I think the street bobs are 160 or 70. I think my old FXR tire is a 140. lol

The difference is in the bearing ID. The problem solver here is ordering the correct bearings. The OD of OE harley wheels have retained the 53mm OD. What bearings did you use on the 13 spoke swap?

And the first bike pictured appears to be a Duece wheel but kind of hard to tell.

It's a bit more complicated than that! In 2002 Harley went from 3/4" bearings on the Touring range to 1", then in 2008 went metric to 25mm. The swap-over was done on the other models at different times. Softails including the Deuce stayed with 3/4" rear wheel bearings for a few years, after going to 1" up front.

Thinking about it, my Deuce wheel came with 3/4" sealed ball bearings, which I converted to 1". Contrary to my comment earlier about it not involving any machining, the hub did require reaming out to a larger diameter (the hole between the two bearing cups), to take a 1" axle and bearing spacer.

So will it fit your SB? If your current wheel has 3/4" bearings then it will bolt right in. If you have 1" bearings the only mod you will need is a pair of 1" bearings and spacer, for the Deuce wheel, available in a kit from your dealer. However you may also need to ream/bore the hole through the hub, as I did.

The Deuce has a dedicated pulley, which seals holes in the hub. The wheel is actually hollow and has holes into it between each of the pulley and rotor screw holes, which can fill with water if the holes are not sealed. A stock rotor will do that on that side, but if using a non-Deuce pulley there is a blanking disc available # 43837-00.

You are very correct as i tried to simplify my answer, I have 11 SB, I bought a wheel from 06 Deuce, got the kit thinking that would be it, not the case, to adopt it I'd have to bore out the center hole

When I bumped into that problem I was fortunate that my local Yamaha dealer has a small machine shop and they opened up the hole for a small charge.

I found new info indicating the last 3 photos are a Sportster wheel due to "better tire sizes". Still trying to confirm what Sportster and what size tire...

I think some of the Sportster Custom XL models ran solid rear wheels.

He'll probably chime in eventually but forum member 128Auto is running a Deuce rear wheel on his '07 Street Bob. I'm sure he's got a thread on it somewhere.

A pal has a solid rear wheel in his Sporty, but it is a 3" x 16", none of them have a wider rim that I know of.

I have the Chrome Deuce rear wheel from the P/A catalog. Order the correct size bearing kit and covers that go in between the pulley, rotor and wheel. Just another option.
