Electrical problem: 2004 E Glide Classic
Electrical problem: 2004 E Glide Classic, 55,000 miles. Battery seems good. Yesterday, after riding home for lunch I went to start it, turned the ignition switch on, nothing. Rolled it in the garage and took the truck to work. Last night I turned the switch on and I could hear the sound it makes as things power up, little red key light lit up, speedo needle wiggled a bit and headlight slowly came on put only about half power. Tried the starter, nothing. Turned switch to Acc. and dash lights came on. Tried it all again this morning with the same results. Bad switch possibly? Hard to change? Battery? Cables? I've had the bike 3 months and it's my first. Thanks for your wisdom!

Before you spend one penny...
Remove the battery.
Charge fully with a 2 amp charger.
Have battery load tested, an auto parts store will do this for free.
Until you know the actual condition of the battery, you can`t troubleshoot.
