I'm trying to replace the stator. I can't get the nut off the compensator. I have a breaker bar with the inch and a half socket and the locking tool in place. I've tried penetrating oil and heating the nut with a torch.

Do you have a compressor and a impact driver. Thats how i got mine off. If you cant get the rotor off, take two pieces of welding rod from a stick welder, break the flux off, and bend into small hooks to put in the two holes on the rotor and pull off.
If you use an impact (which is not recommended because of the rotor magnets) make sure none of them break loose. How long is the breaker bar. Also, be careful of your tank if you slip.
