Gave up on getting them to work. Pulled them off and replaced with a standard strip of lights from custom dynamics (60% off from an indy closing sale woohoo!) and they work perfect, so at least I'm "lit" again and hopefully more visible.
On another note, I installed the filler lights from custom dynamics as well. Good LORD they are BRIGHT even in the Texas sun!
I am a big proponent of being "lit" as much as possible....(not the beer kind of lit ha ha).I fabbed a custom strobing plate for the back with the (very bright) Custom Dynamics True Flex strips...extra braking visibility. Also, now in process now of fabbing some custom lights for the lower forks with Feniex Cannon white strobes and white DRL sets on a momentary switch...extra visibility for those cagers preparing to turn left in front of me a couple blocks away
I am right with you. I have a lovely gal that rides an Indian Scout and fixed her up with white lights under the tank and under her soft bags, really increased her "presence" lighting up a large area of pavement as she goes down the road.
I think next I'll be adding some to the front fender to shine on the wheel if I can figure out how to wire it into the front fender tip light. Since this is a '14 and OEM LED tip light, its not as easy as my '05 where I simply ran the wires to the bulb plug in and just pushed them under the bulb legs to hold them in.

You may have seen Positaps before ...they are the cleanest way I have found to tap a wire.....you can dab some Liquid Tape lightly on them and create a waterproof connection..
Sparkalot - I do have some positaps and liquid elec tape, I just need to figure out how to get the front marker off and see what kind of wires are there to tap into. I have the service manual but it looks like you have to pull the whole assy. off instead of just the lens. There may be more info in other parts of the book as I just got it and have not really dug through it yet.
TAGGS - I used goop off and that worked well enough to get the old 3M double stick off.

Man oh man they don't make it easy do they LOL Well it sounds like you will have to reverse engineer the light assembly and find your way in then seal it up good on your way out.....best of luck, I like a challenge like that, but not everyone does, understandably.
