The Can can?
I have a 2015 nightrod. I am having electrical issues with the bike where it fails to charge since it was new. The dealership has "repaired it" 3xs now. 2xs at another dealership and once at still another. I wanted to swap and trace everything out. I would like to use the 2018 CAN-BUS, but I don't know if there could be other issues. I would be changing the front end with lights and ALL integral pieces. Because i'm changing so much of the wiring, it should be less of a compatibility issue i'm hoping. What are my chances of finding someone capable?

Nothing is impossible if you want to spend the money.....
Open the link below and look at the Electrical diagrams .Compare V Rod and Softails, Notice that the Softail has a Can Bus that gives inputs to the ECM as well as the BCM,. Looks like you would have to replace the hand controls,ECM .... add a BCM ...... and the list goes on......
And it won't help your charging problem.

Thank you very much. Clearly a good word is money in da bank. Well thought out projects are the most rewarding and the most efficient when it comes to cost. God bless you and your knowledge. I will contact H.D. about the charging system as the dealer is trying to ignore their obligations under all warranties.
