My FP3 showed 4 codes , I've had my check engine light display a couple of times in the last 600 miles or so along with it cutting out briefly yesterday , it also did it on the way home from Kentucky 2 weeks ago in heavy rain, I wrote that off as water ingestion due to my exposed air cleaner with a rain sock , it was vary heavy rain, but maybe that wasn't the cause ?
2014 SG , FM X pipe , Rush BL , S&S air cleaner , FP3 tuner
Codes :
P1356 Misfire rear , could be rich or lean
P1510 TBW safe mode
P2122 TGS 1 low / open TBW wire pinched or broken
P2138 TBW sensor error
I just cleared the codes , checked the connector by the throttle body , checked the harness on the right side of the neck. I'm also aware of the bulletin about cleaning the connector on the ECM , not sure if that applies to Rushmore models or not. If I twist the grip with the bike off I can hear a sound like a spring tension up and un tension when releasing , is this an indication the TBW needs replaced ?
Can I ohm out the TBW sensors to determine if the twist grip is bad ? My dealer has 2 CVO 32310-08 TBW in stock but not really wanting to buy one and go through the work replacing it if mines still good and my issue lies somewhere else.
Thanks for the post , looks like a little more to it than just making a simple check plus some special tools , (break out box and harness) . Really makes me wish I would have bought a power vision as it can test the the function .

You can do most of it with out the Breakout box, just look at the schematic and find the wires.
You may be able to do the first check if you can slide the meter leads in the connector. If not the very sharp leads can make a pin ***** and cover with good elect. tape.
Test 9 might give a clue.
You didn't swap bars or anything else?
I had a similar problem and read that I could see TG % with the PV but I couldn't. Even called DynoJet and they explained why - I just don't remember what they said.
I did bars about 20K ago , I did pull off the throttle grip to to adjust the angle of the throttle boss but I just slide the grip off. Think I'm going to ride it some more this week and see if it generates anymore code's first. I called V&H to see if I could possible check it with the FP3 , they said yes but were then vague about it. They did look at my FP3 and downloaded a new custom map for me, got rid of a nasty decel pop.
I have some small springs I put on my leads for small connectors , just unwind a couple 3 coils to make a small probe , done this for years at work. I can see test one would be easy enough
Just changed my rear o2 sensor but now I need to clear codes, can anybody help me with that? Another question while I'm here, why would rear o2 sensor go out with only 4500 miles on it?

Please start a new thread in the future, thread hijacking isn't cool. To answer your question, put the bike in diagnostics mode (Run switch to "Run", Hold down the trip reset switch and turn on the ignition while holding the trip reset) once it comes up you will see the PSST select the appropriate one using the reset switch and when the codes are showing press and hold the reset switch unti it shows clear. press the reset switch it will show PN:######## (###### being the part number of the item) press it again to get back to the PSST and then turn ignition off. You can go back into diag mode and check to see if the code is still cleared.
Well it seems to be fixed , cleaned the male TCA pins with a swab and alcohol, then assembled with dielectric grease seemed to fix my issue , 155 miles and no codes so far. Biggest issue has been finding time to take a long ride to test since doing this last fix.
I changed plugs just before I left for Kentucky and thought maybe this was the source of my P1356 code so I got a new set of OEM plugs thinking maybe the NGK's had a cracked porcelain.
