Security light stays on. Error code b2206
Greetings all. I'm new to this site. I've got an issue with my security light staying on my 2018 Road Glide Special. Could really use some direction. I recently put on a new pair of 12" monkey bars and after completing, my check engine light was on, so I ran diagnostic and cleared codes, but red security light stays light. Run diagnostic again and ECM is clear, but BCM says b2206 "run/stop switch input open/shorted high" and it wont clear. Everything appears to be working fine........any input would be greatly appreciated
I had the exact same thing recently with a pair of 12" Twin Peaks bars. Turned out one of the pins on the extension wires puled out. I had to pull the extension cables and plug the pin back in, it wasn't broken...just never inserted all the way so it pulled out when I was installing and I didn't notice it.
Either way, it's likely related to wiring on the throttle side. If you search "b2206" there is another thread with a few suggestions.
