Default Voltage While Riding

I have a 2005 cvo elevtraglide. Runs and rides great. Just a general question. When idling my voltage gauge sits at 14 or just under. While riding or accelerating it will jump to around 15 or just over. When off gas it returns to 14 or just under. Just wanted to make sure I did not have a regulator problem and this voltage was acceptable. Just don’t want to cook my battery. I did a search and see tons of posts of voltage dropping but nothing for my question. Thanks.

On my '14 Ultra it sits steady at 14 - never spikes despite rapid acceleration.

The gauges are inaccurate - measure at the battery at idle and at 2000-3000 rpm. If you measure voltage at the gauge wires and it does not match the gauge, the gauge is adjustable through a little hole and using a small screwdriver.

Finally had a chance to check with my meter. Reads steady 14.3 and same while accelerating. I guess my volt guage is off just a hair.
