Help changing from stock HD tail lights to CVO Taillights (again)
So to start out with I just joined the HD forum so bare with me on the descriptions on what I need help with. I seen some thing about this topic earlier but my conditions are different then those. So I bought an after market rear CVO fender with lights and wiring harness for my 2013 road glide custom. To make a long story short I have some things that work and some that don't after everything was put together. The running, brake and turn lights work but when I try to use the turn lights while using the brake the only thing that works are the brake lights. When I let go of the brake the turn lights work again. I do have a custom dynamics box cause I put on front turn signal lights that are also LED's. Any thoughts on what is needed to get the signals lights to work while the brake is applied?
You said you have a Run/ Brake/Turn module on the fronts? That makes no sense. You don't light the fronts with the brakes.
And the fronts should already be run/turns.
I was trying to say is that I have Led lights in the front, that why I got the custom dynamics (blue box) because of the rapid turn signals. I put those on first about a year ago. I put that in there incase someone asked if I had the box because of the rear led lights that I'm trying to get working. The rear lights I have running, brake and turn lights working but.... when the turn signals are on and I apply the brakes, the brake lights come on and the signals don't blink (in the back only the front led lights still blink). Hope this clears up my earlier comments.
So I think a found out what was the problem is. The signal lights are not designed to work with the brake lights. Be sure to check this option before you buy on EBAY or any other place incase you want to do this to your own bike. I should haven known, you get what you pay for...
This is what I was told by the outfit that sold them to me. "That is the item design, the brake is priority to the turn signal so the turn signal are turned off when brakes are applied"
I cant believe that they would make them like that but then again that's what you get when you go on the cheap...
