Red key light on, no start

I had the same thing, I bent my key fab battery prongs up to get a better connection and it fixed it not sure if this applies but I definitely had the same symptoms
05 HD ROAD GLIDE......Purchased bike 2 weeks ago. Red key light has been on since day 1 but wasn't affecting anything. Go out today to go for a ride, went to start bike as usual and it won't even crank....DEAD. Key light blinks and blinkers flash then key light is steady on. I replaced battery in key fob.....still nothing....DEAD. Now what??? My other bike is down as well. 2 bikes and can't ride neither of them. HELP
