Can you test wires in your wire harness with a volt meter to see if there are shorts in the wire anywhere? I am throwing an abs light and code C1025. Ive checked the plug under the fairing by the neck on the left side and I removed the from wheel and checked the positioning and condition of the wss sensor. It all appears ok with the exception of a small amount of the axle anti seize coating the bearing and sensor. By small I mean I could see it but when I wiped it off with a clean white shop towel there was grey residue. Anyway, before I go spend 100 bucks on a new sensor, and before I start removing the protective sleeves on the wss wiring going into the harness, I would like to know if theres a way I can test the wires and wiggle them around to see if it will show a short somewhere.
You could check the wires from the connector to the abs module but unless there is a cause for concern about damage to the main harness, but you'll likely not have any issues. I would say to replace the abs sensor in the front wheel as there isn't a whole lot of work to do.
Update on this ABS issue after working for a while the light came back on! I decided to replace the front sensor. light still on! So I went back to the harness. with an ohm meter i kept moving the harness around and found the blue and brown wires twisted together the abs connector..
about 1" back from the connector, the blue wire didn't feel right! The wire itself was broken under the plastic insulation..
I cut it installed a butt connector with heat shrink and that was my problem! Thanks for all the help!...

Thank you I read this early on yesterday and then couldn't find it again anywhere. I was trying to avoid cutting it by testing first but I don't know how.
