2020 FXBRS Front Led Indicators Rear Indicators and Tail / Brake Combo
I installed a set of LED front Indicators, set of custom rear LED indicators, taillight and brake light.
The indicators are flashing normal speed, the dash indicator is flashing at hyper speed (so to speak) and I'm getting an "Open" error code for all the indicators on the FP3, so I ordered a few load resistors, 10 Ohm 25W, my question is, do I need to install one load resistor on each of the LEDs (4)? or will 2 be sufficient i.e. 1 on the Left and 1 on the Right, I was considering under the tank where the front indicators plug in. ??
I do not believe you need them for canbus bikes. I believe Custom Dynamics has some info out there on LED turn signals and BCMs but here is some reading in the meantime. Hope this was helpful.
If the bike is 2013+ then it is a CAN-Bus bike and the BCM just needs to be set to LED signals, there are some threads that say to turn on the hazards for 5 minutes, but the dealer can set it with the Digital Technician and some may not even charge to do so.
Not in all the cases BCM could be learned. When I've got the LED inserts all was good - hazard on, ignition off, ignition on, hazard off and it worked. Now i left only Alloy Art front eliminators and Custom Dynamics antenna grommet plugs on the rear. And i've got the codes and fast blinking indicators on the dash. And no suggested way to learn worked for me ("LED type turn signals" setting in BCM is also switched on with Diag4Bike - no luck). That's the situation when you have to splice a resistors to a circuits. Self made or like these ones https://www.customdynamics.com/canbu...adapter?cat=62
