Default Miles flipped to kilometres and 2 error codes

Hi all, I'm on holiday in the Cotswolds, England, and my 2018 Street Bob suddenly switched from mph on the Speedo to kph. The odometer also switched to km instead of miles. My manual is back home so I can't look up if there's a way to change it and googling has been frustrating to find good information.

I also now have a yellow engine light on. Two diagnostic codes come up:
P0503h - an issue with the speed sensor, probably the cause of the speedometer changing to kph? I can make it home calculating speed kph to mph and following traffic, but would be good to know if there are any other potential issues
B2161h - brake lamp output open - not sure what this means. I've checked my brake lights and all seem to be working fine. This one feels a bit more serious, not keen on riding the 4 hours home if the brake lights are on the fritz. Anyone have experience with this one?

I've contacted the dealership for servicing when I get home, but I'm out in the countryside now and looking to enjoy a few more rides before returning to city life. Thanks all

Couple internet searches say to go in to setup by holding both directionals then going in to odometer, there you can toggle between mph/kph.

Brake lamp, have you tested both front and rear circuits?

Thanks ChopperMan - I'll try the left/right directionals once the rain stops! And yes, tested both front and rear brakes, both activate both rear lights Ż\_(ツ)_/Ż
