I took my newly acquired HD FXSTB Night Train '07 for the first ride today. After circa 10-15 minutes onwards to our second stop the bike blasts like a shotgun once and then shuts off. Pulled over to the side and turned the ignition on/off but all electronics were out.
Upon checking the cables and circuits on the battery we discovered that the terminals (plus side) were a bit loose just a little. Tightened them by hand and then we rode on to my garage to fetch a key to tighten it properly. After that we rode circa 2 hours in total without any disturbances.
Has anyone else experienced this and could it be that it only had to do with the slightly loose terminals? It seems a bit to far-fetched to me since they still had contact with the battery. I've just started riding so my bike experience and knowledge is quite scarce.

Loose terminals can cause many odd problems, intermittent running is one of them. Since the cables were not tight at the battery, you should check the ground connections also.
