ive been tackling a 2122 code for weeks, thought it was TGS and replaced it, code came back, went thru several diagnostics and concluded.it was ecu, apparently one of my tests was wrong because after i replaced that, the code came back,
I've did sensor power-1 circuit test,
TPS-1 circuit shorted test
TPS-1 circuit continuity test
TPS-1 circuit short to ground test
TPS-1 circuit short to voltage test
Sensor ground continuity test
TCA test
TCA sensor circuit test
TCA circuit circuit short to ground test
TCA power-1 circuit open test
TCA sensor test
ECM test
TPS-1 voltage test
TPS-1 circuit test
Sensor power circuit test
I'm using a centurion pro plus and I'm stumped, it's probably something I'm overlooking and i don't want to buy another component, has anybody else have these phantom codes, i would appreciate any input.
it's leaving me with a problem with TCA but don't want to just throw parts at it

Reason: forgot year and model
well changing the sensor ruled that out so that leaves the wiring. make sure all the connections are clean. you might have to pull the harness to see if there is chaffing which will give random codes.
you might want to monitor the in/out levels from the sensor. they oppose each other to act as a fail safe and should be darn close to each other, if not the mc will go limp. you can use stick pins with color beaded heads through the ecm seal, do not puncture the wire insulation, the seal will recover when pulling the pins out. you probably will need two meters.
i checked all the connectors and replaced a female terminal in tgs, using live graph on centurion super pro plus, the tgs seems to get voltage up to 5.2v, and momentarily to 5.3v, I'm not sure what is causing this because its a new tgs, and other tests led me to believe it was ecm, which was also replaced, pulling my hair out on this one, what could cause the increased in voltage and also the system is losing communication to ecm
came back with DTC's p1510, p2122 p2138
It is verbatim regarding fretting corrosion. It even has a photo showing what fretting looks like.
They are not the same. TT418-A was updated with repair procedures with part numbers for sockets to replace. The OP should follow Jbar1s advice for the most current bulletin which will give him best chance of repair.
