Ignore any technical answers so far, because you haven`t given us a clue as to what you are working on, how old the battery is, etc.

All you have so far are guesses.

Back to you...

It's winter. Let's just play along. or

Poll is good. Both choices work. I checked.

Rest must be fine, it starts when cold.

Flat?? Does that mean no clicks or noise?

If your not able to check basic connections, start with starter.

Do you have a DC volt meter?

Is there 12.6 volts DC at the small wire on starter solenoid?

d?
If a battery has enough capacity to start cold, I would think it would atleast click when hot. Could always put a jump pack on it, to rule out battery. I have seen jump packs unable to start batteries that were completely bad. But they did not start cold either.

Has the engine been modified?

Is the rest of the electrical on when you try to start hot?

How long have you owned the bike?

Could pull plugs, when hot and see if it turns over. Not sure how much you will learn from that though. If it doesn't I would think it is an electrical component heating up

Rounders...

Were you added d as in duu, that was sarcasm on what user had said.

Just saying battery is fine with a starting issue doesn't mean a whole lot. A boat anchor is a boat anchor only if it's attached.

Please never quote me again. Post to the USER that started this thread. You already said some of that that before.

I can see why no one likes you and you had to change your name.

I stand by what I said. If a battery starts an engine cold, I would think you would get some kind of reaction when hot. Clicking or something.

I ask that in 6 about a click. Just like you, there was not enough info and we poked the first poster for more. What's annoying is you want other users to pat you on the back for your answers or something I guess.

if that's what it takes, live with likes. If that's what it takes for you to like me, I couldn't care less. I was trying to help first poster with patience.

Then Dan as usual and you start attacking.

How old is the battery?

Never assume a battery is good, or bad, test it.

Charge the battery and take it to an auto parts store, they will load test it for free.

While the battery is out, remove the battery cables and clean the terminals.

Clean the terminals at the small wire on the starter solenoid.

Clean the terminals at the starter relay.

As you can clearly read, there are some posters here who you should feel free to ignore, they are well known on this forum.
