So first, I'd like to find a spot with some room for a small auxiliary power/fuse block. There doesn't seem to be much room under either cover.

Secondly, I'm thinking to run directly off the battery for power, but use a relay to keep the power switched. Does this sound like the best approach?
I'd need a bit of switched power for the relay, and don't want to pull this from the accessory plug.
It's a cam-bus, so can't come off the power switch, and that's clear up in front of the tank anyway.
Am I on the right track here?

Heated gear and charging port, and a couple of lights, are the current wiring projects. Nothing major.
Seems to me there was something else in the to-do list but it's not coming to me at this moment...
