Hard to describe...Having trouble with a second power point for 08 Street Glide. There's a connector under the seat meant for a second power point mounted on the side cover. However, the pins on the connector appear to backwards. There's power to 2 of 4 pins, but when connected there's no power to the new power point. If that makes sense, anyone else have any trouble?
There should be four wires going to that Deutsch connector. One is on all the time with the ignition, one has power when the Accessory switch is turned on on the steering head, one has power when the brake lights are activated and one is a ground.
I found this on Google, but use a multi meter to double check your wires...
"The accessory connector is shown on the prints (2008 touring manual) as a 4 wire with both ignition switched (Orange with Red tracer on pin 1) and accessory "switch" (Orange pin 3) hot leads. Also a Black ground (pin 4) and Brake Relay contact (pin 2)."
Make sure you are not trying to use the computer data plug. It is the same connector. the acc, plug is next to the battery not under the left cover. The 08 owners maual pictures the data plug.
The deutch plug in front of the battery has numbers
1. Ignition switched (Orange with Red)
2. Brake relay switch
3. Accessory switch (Orange)
4. Ground (black)
Used it for my satelite alarm, no problem using pin 1 and 4.
