Help with depinning 1994 softail springer
This is when I realized, there was a broken wire on the female side connection that PO just hard wired and bypassed the connector.
Now, here is where I need some help. I cannot get the dang pin out for the life of me....I ordered a JR Ready depinng tool set and crimper, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the pin out of this style of connector....I can't find anything in the owners manual either....any help is appreciated.
If the connectors are pretty beat up, you can find them at Namz, they are a commonly used connector (AMP Mate n Lock).

Push the wire into the connector, while pushing the tang against the pin, then pull the wire and pin out.

Sometimes, they don't catch securely when you push them back in. Eyeball both sides of harness after you plug it back together as a final check.

When it comes to these depinning tools and connectors, I dont know all of the sizes so it looks like I may have got lucky with the JR Ready depinning set I purchased to work on my bike.
The tools are very similar in size in the kit i got. It was trial and error to find the one that fit the connector i was trying to remove.
This is the one that fit and the pin after I removed it.
I tried to show the tip of the removal tool but it wouldnt quite focus. Inside the tip has a sliding pin which allows the user to push a bitton on the end of the tool once its fitted over the pin. Pressing the button helps push the pin out of the connection after the tool is placed over the pin when its inside the plastic connector.
This is the pin after removed and how it lines up with the tool.
This is the tool over the connection pin. Notice the button on the end of the tool which is now sticking out. While keeping pressure on the tool when placed over the connector pin when its in the plastic connector, push the button. This took me several tries to "seat" the tool and bottoming it out over the pin.
