I’m running aftermarket LEDS all around, plus a Custom Dynamics Triple play module which flashes the brake light, and runs all three lamps in back in run/turn/brake mode.
Plus I added Harley OE fender tip lights, front and rear.
I’ve been running all this stuff for a few thousand miles, so not sure what the issue might be.
If everything is working, should I just ignore it?
Edit to add- These police bikes have some wonky auxiliary light modes both front and rear for duty use that have to be turned off in a prescribed manner so I don’t know if that convolutes the issue.
The h means the code is no longer active and that whatever caused it has not returned. Have you tried clearing it?
three or four times. It clears each time, then I turn off the bike, turn it back on, operate all the lights, and then put it back in DIAG mode, no more code.
But I can take it out for a ride, stop, put it in DIAG mode, and the code returns.
It thinks the brake lamp output is open. Whats got me stumped is its an historical code and it keeps coming back as historical after youve cleared it. I would tell you a load resistor would cure it, but Im not sure it will or not.

One of the things that Custom Dynamics has customers do when they get the hyper flash on their turn signals after installing LEDS is to run the emergency flashers in a prescribed manner for about 30 seconds in order to sync everything. I think this is on CanBus bikes.
I would also have to do that periodically on my last bike that Id swapped everything for LEDS, even after everything had been previously synced.
I have no idea if this has anything to do with what we are discussing.
