Unhappy Haze on Lens
2009 Ultra Classic 3400 miles purchased in Oct.
Passing lights and head light lens have a smoke like haze on inside of lens,anyone seen this or know what is causing this ?

I have the same thing with my 08 flhtc,, it is just a light thing it happens all the time.

Angry Haze
Has anyone got a dealer to replace these lights for this HAZE , looks like smoke film on mine.

Have the same thing on both lights on my RG. I pulled the bulbs out and used isopropyl alcohol on a cotton cloth to clean it out. I'm sure it'll come back. I figure it's the same haze that you get on the inside of a car or truck windshield that comes from the plastics inside the vehicle. Not sure but I think it's caused by outgassing from the heated plastic.

You could repace them with a h7604 or a h7616 sealed beam.

remove headlight & remove bulb, wash out headlight with soapy warm water & then rinse well, let dry thoroughly..& re-install..

cost = "0"

sealed beam won't cloud like this, but also is not as bright either...

The spot lamps on my 09 are like that. Right at the top of the lens on both of them. I will take it back to them on this and they will replace them or clean them. Headlight lens is clear. Had a few bikes with the spot lamps and this is the first one that has done this. Got a little squeal in the rear brake and they gonna fix that too.
