Default Amp install question

Hello people,

I will explain what I have done and maybe someone can chime in and let me know if there is a better way to get better sound.

I have an 07 Ultra and I have the stock 2ohm front and rear speakers. I have installed in my lowers, 2 Cadence 2way speakers which are 4 ohm and I am powering only those two speakers with a 300w amp. Everything seems to be working fine. I have the amp mounted in my tour pak with a 12v computer cooling fan hooked up to it to help with cooling.

My main question is this? The RCA's running to the amp, since there is no rca's coming off the stock head unit are spliced into the left and right rear speaker wires. This way the front speakers have independent balance and the rear and lower speakers have independent balance. It seems like the rear speakers have almost no output though. Am I taking away from the rear speakers by tapping off of them for my rca's for my amp input?

I would also like some suggestions for mounting my amp in one of my saddlebags. Good way to do it. Run wires. Quick disconnects with the least amount of drilling of holes.

Any help and answers would be most appreciated.

Thanks,

Warden

how did you conect the speaker leads to the amp?? spliced together?

you need a hi/low converter . it takes the speaker level and changes it to rca and they have a gain control setting

The amp I have is actually a full size amp. The speaker leads are mounted to the stud screws on the amp.
