HELP!!! Indicators Issue!
First post on here, haven't even got mt intorduction down but I'm in desperate need!
I have a 2013 Forty Eight which I utterly adore. I had a small accident with her last year due to a careless (insert expletive) van driver. Since then I've been having an issue with my indicators.
Half of the time they are just fine but following the accident and out of the blue one day, I put the left side indicator on and it stayed on. No flashing and it wouldn't cancel. After about 5 minutes, it went off and returned to usual working ways.
At the same time as the amber lights and green dash arrow staying on, the red key symbol also lit up on the dash.
Yesterday however while out for only the 3rd time this year, the indicators ceased working all together. No amber signal and no flashing green arrow on the display either.
It's obviously an electrical issue but I don't know enough about where to look/ what to do to sort it. Ive done plenty of work on my previous Road King with no issues at all but that was a 2001 bike and it appears from the small amount of tinkering I have done, that things have moved on a little since then!
The only electrical work I've carried out on it was to attach a trickle charge attachment to the battery but that was all.
I'm reluctant to take it to my nearest dealer as they tried to charge me Ł3,000 to repair the bike after the accident and it eventually only cost Ł300 so trust isn't terribly strong with them!
Can anyone help me or direct me to a previous thread that might be able to??
Thanks in advance!
