Check Engine Light-Speedo
Hi all--I am a new HD owner riding a 2013 Electra Glide Limited. I have 2300 miles on it so far. This past weekend I filled up with Gas on Sunday morning and when I pulled out I noticed my speedo wasn't working. Then I noticed all of the associated things-cruise, Volume Control, signal cancel, etc weren't working either. I took it to 4Rivers HD in Paducah. They said--it has to be the speed sensor. So they replaced it and the tech said that it worked until he got to about 20 MPH then quit again. After about 2 hours of checking out lots of things, he decided to try a 2nd sensor. Well-that fixed it. Or so we thought. I rode about 100 miles toward home. I got caught in a huge downpour during the ride. After sitting for a while, I got back on and headed out again. Well--about 30 miles down the road it all went out again. I am taking it to my local dealer this morning--but just wondered if anyone has faced this before and might have any ideas other than the speed sensor that should be checked. I am planning to leave Friday for a weekend trip and am hoping they can get if figured out. Thanks for your help!
