Default HELP with 103

I was just informed that my engine has either a rod bearing or a wrist pin going out (pretty loud knocking on front cylinder). Was a 96 when I bought the bike and I had it bumped to the 103. Now I need to figure out my cheapest route. Do I buy a new engine, or have Harley put new 103 top end on it, have it totally rebuilt, or maybe go to a 110. The bike is a 2009 Ultra converted to a trike with 41,000 miles on it.

Rod bearing cannot be repaired by rebuilding the top end and a wrist pin will likely require the lower unit to be removed as well. Once you pull the lower unit and split the cases, many options. The cheapest way out will likely be the long block program that recently replaced the remanufactured (by S&S) motor program; check it out.
