Zactly. When I started mine up initially I had zero clatter or top end noise. We put them in my neighbors bike too (just to quiet down the top end - stock cams) and it runs quiet as a mouse now. We put SE Tapered Adjustables in his at the same time. That's money well spent for those who have the problem of their top end noise (tick, tick, tick) driving them nuts.

Other than not being made stateside you can't beat gaterman gp1023's for price and function. For $140 you get a triple feed oiler, oiler for roller, and a lifter that doesn't bleed down fast and is reliable. Add the axtell bypass and you will have good lubrication throughout the system at all rpm ranges.

PS if you want a deal right now on andrews cams PHAT PERFORMACE has them for 213.00 plus put in BLACK7 at check out and get those cams for 199.00 shipped.
Thanks again for the awesome tip. I was able to get a refund on my order before they shipped and since that did not get processed until a day after the promo code expired, the guy I spoke to at Phat took care of my at same rate. Ended up getting S&s quicker' sand the cams from them for about $57 cheaper and delivery from west to east coast in one day! Crazy good service

Just a heads up for the Comp cams 850 they go for about $15 a piece at amazon, I wonder if I would be better off going with the S&S Cycle Hydraulic Tappets 33-5350 for the $40 difference?

Wow! You must be doing a lot of replacements

Had to fly to Canada for a family thing, hopefully the tappets will be at work waiting for me when I get back. Will be stopping by the dealership on my way home from the airport to pick up a clutch spring (since apparently the bike doesn't come stock with a heavy duty one like the parts guy told me), and some tappet cover gaskets. Funny that the Quickee Rods same company sku code from some places like Amazon (Power Sports), and Revzilla include the gaskets but the ones I bought from Phat performance don't yet they all had the same sku's. No big deal, still cheaper going the route I did but funny nevertheless.

If you're talking about the S&S quickies, they use stock pushrod tubes.
If this is the first time you're taking the lifter covers off, I would reuse the gaskets. just put them back the same way they came off.

Yup meant the quickees they came with the rod covers I meant to say the gaskets for the tappet covers. I didn't realize they could be re-used which is great. Thought I had to replace anytime I opened the covers but this would be my first time and the engine will have only had one summer and 5000 miles of use.

For a guy that has a full time IT job, yeah I do a lot of side work. I think my own bike has probably seen 250 miles in the past 2 months. She's feeling lonely and neglected.

Since I have you on the line... Can you tell me if the new cams (straight bolt in) will cause more wear and tear on the engine? Anything I need to do from a service (moving forward) standpoint that I'll need to do differently?

Shame about the Saints 0-4 at home, my wife is a die hard fan, been real tough on the son and me!
