It is better to do port work on the stock heads or buy aftermarket? I found a set of takeoffs for 250 bucks ..I could get them done and wouldn't have to wait on the port work if that's the case..
Yep, and having already worked with hillside they can hook you up again im sure. As far as the price for the 103 heads seems fair enough as long as they arent junk.
Oh.. yeah, HILLSIDE FTW! Scott has done all of the machine work on my stuff, couldn't be happier. They will be getting the 103 parts too, except uhhh, it wont be 103 when we are done. yes, there are other shops that do great work too, however, I like to stick with the people I know and can trust.
I just figured I would ask about the heads..I'm going to buy those others, for $250 bucks then , they only have 1700 miles on them. he went with a dealer installed stage 4 kit.., whatever floats your boat!

If downtime is the reason for buying the 103 heads (the same as 96), talk to Scott first. IIRC, he will work with customers on an exchange basis and charge a core "deposit" which is reimbursed when he receives your heads in good condition. You can send your "core" heads back to Scott in the same shipping container you received your ported heads. Save yourself $250.
