Engine Mechanical TopicsDiscussion for motor builds, cams, head work, stripped bolts and other engine related issues. The good and the bad. If it goes round and around or up and down, post it here.
my personal bike is a 2002 RG.we tend to stay pretty busy between shop machine work & the drag bike(as in REAL busy),so I don't have time to mess with my street bike all the time.I like HP/TQ,but I also like being able to jump on & go anywhere.i built mine into a 124",10.0-1 with S&S .570 cams,110 heads ported here.its making 129/138.
if you stay at 103",100/110 is easy.if you go 107 and don't have 100/110 theres something majorly wrong.a 103",with mild headwork flowing in the 255 cfm @ 28" area,set at 10.5-1 with S&S 585 cams will easily do 105+/110+.a 107" with the same headwork,compression & cams,115/120+
Probley heard it from a guy on a forum that dosnt build engines either
Buhahahaha. I know. But I wouldn't let just anyone do a 124" in a stock case either. This thing is fun to ride! Accidentally popped a wheelie the other day. Flat out fun. No desire for more power.
