Decel popping is very annoying and a clear indicator that the tune is off or there are intake/exhaust leaks. Install a fuel management system and get the motor dyno tuned.
new tuner and dyno time adds just about 800-900 smacks on a bike with only slip ons and ac..would be hard to swallow that.
It looks like I will have to get a power vision to get this bike tuned right. I pulled the plugs last night and they were white and the electrodes were white too.

I cannot tolerate decal popping and $800 to make it go away is a deal I would take. A proper tune will also add some TQ/HP, so it's not as though the money is wasted like the money that was wasted on the factory flash.
There is a cheaper way. From what I read, the V&H FP3 is getting good reports. A flash tuner with auto tune feature with which the OP may not be able to get an optimum tune but should be able to eliminate the pop and improve performance. Customer support is supposed to be very good as well.
RE; V&H FP3
Agree djl it's cheaper and possibly effective if auto tuned to be close. Re tuning even a stock factory tune is beneficial on many levels, I would just urge a person to consider a full exhaust and cams if going the SERT/TTS and dyno time way for real value to performance ratio.
No personal experience with the FP3 and it would not be my choice for any motor configuration beyond Stage 1 plus cams. Having said that, users are reporting good results with the auto tune feature, a huge base map library even for pipes that are not V&H and great customer support.
You get no argument from me on the value of re-tuning a stock factory tune, cams or not; some just don't want to go beyond Stage 1 and we also agree that a true Stage 1 should include a complete replacement of the OEM exhaust and air filter, fuel management and tune whether it be by Dobeck TFI, V&H FP3 or SERT/TTS/Powervision and dyno time.
I'm running an fp3 on my stage 1 14' Fat Bob and its probably one of the best things I've added. I have absolutely zero decel popping and the bike runs absolutely perfect.
Pretty cool features like the real time sensor data, speedo calibration, trouble codes too.
Today I rode for 120 miles and checked the plugs again when I got home. Still white and the electrodes are white too. I hopefully will be getting a power vision from fuel moto soon. My advice on the stage 1 download will be to not do it. It is a waste of $200.

With respect, most the frequent this forum know that and you would have known as well had you come here for advice before spending the $200. Live and learn. Put it behind you and move on.
Mine popped really bad after a thunder header and and the rest of the stage one. I used the super tuner. In the air fuel ratio tables at 20kpa I went to 13.5 in the rpm range it was popping. In the VE at 0 percent. I raised that to 100 percent. Again only in the rpm that the popping was in. This fixed my problem
