Default '14 FLHX cam suggestion

I have my bike torn down right now for some powdercoat work and I figure I might as well do a cam swap while I am at it. The bike currently has just exhaust, intake and tune. I am looking for a cam that would make the most torque and give it to me early. I rode a '15 FLHX with a stage 1 and Andrews 59H (I think) and it felt really nice and snappy, like I am looking for. Just looking for your opinions.

Thanks in advance!

Dan

Andrews 57 or 48, CR575, Woods 555, TMan 555 Torkster are all good options for a cam only upgrade. You have to decide which might work best for your riding style.

I had the Woods 222 cams in my 08 and they are a great low RPM touring cam. They made a big difference especially riding 2up.

What I am looking for is a fun rip around bar hopper type bike. I want it to pull as hard as I can get it off the line, right away. I'm not as concerned with what it will do when I crack the throttle at 70mph. I want to be able to crack it coming out of a turn at 25 and have it pull hard...

Does that make any sense?

TTS-100 cams will do exactly what you describe. You'll be 100tq around 2000-2200rpm with about a peak tq of 115+. They flat out perform in a tourer.

I ran the Wood tw-5-6 in a 96 for a while and it struck hard pretty low and carried out late.

I hear the tman torqesters do well also...

I keep forgetting about this cam as it is fairly new and not made by a "brand name" vendor but the dyno sheets I have seen are impressive; might be just the ticket.

A very good friend has them in his 2014 FLHX fm 2-1-2 header, 3.5" rh muffs, fm a/c, no other mods, I ride his bike from time to time, its super fun and for 80%+ of the riders out there, they rock.
