Angry 95 road king start issues

I am new to the forum. I did some research here and got a lot of great help.I live in new york and i like to run my bike once a month during the winter months.Well my bike had a hard time starting and ran the battery down .So i pulled the seat put a charge on it.Now all i have is a click at the relay when i hit the switch. No starter engaging at all.The lights stay bright when trying to start. So i pulled the battery had it tested and is good.I put it back in pulled the relay on the side cleaned the terminals put it in and whamo she started. So happy me puts everything back let her run a bit. when shut her down i tried to tart again and got the clicking again. Any suggestions.

Try a new starter relay. They are cheap. Also a quick test is to pull of the solenoid over and press the rubber boot with a screwdriver to start. If it starts, it's a bad relay or something electrical between the bars and the relay.

Make sure all electrical connections are clean and secure.

Stop running the engine unless you are going to take the bike out and ride it, all you are doing by running the engine for short periods is inviting condensation.

You're really not doing the bike any favors by running it in the garage once a month in the winter. That just leads to excessive condensation in the engine.
Best to just prep it for winter and leave a quality battery tender on it.

If it happens again the easiest way to determine if it's the wiring or the starter is to put bike in nuetral and take a screw driver and jump the starter terminal to the solenoid terminal (on the starter) If it cranks you know the starter and the battery are good and it's in the switches or the relay.
