Day 17. Yesterday HD MoCo authorized replacement of Short Block. (I had bought and had installed while in the shop for this issue the Stage IV kit) I also instructed dealer to install fan assisted Oil Cooler. They did not want to do that until issue is resolved because they didn't want to mask issue. Now Harley is swapping out the motor they will install the new oil cooler.

The moco should have stayed with the good ol' panhead.

yea i thought that also so bought a 1 owner year old sgs with 2500 miles . Tranny has the migration problem that hd still not fixing. I'm well pissed off

I don't believe your M8 is burning oil. The common problem is that the oil pump doesn't return oil fast enough to the oil tank so you will eventually start "wet sumping". This year on my way to Sturgis my 2017 M8 107 with 35k miles all of a sudden I had no horse power, it was a dog. I drained the oil from my oil tank and there was only 1 quart. Mysteriously, the Motor Company has installed a small drain plug , located below the cam chest on this motor. When I drained it there was 3 quarts of oil in the crankcase. I've recently installed an S&S oil pump and cam plate and refilled the tank with the proper oil. The bike sounds great and has all of it's torque and horsepower back. In the future I will keep a close eye on the oil level in the tank, and if I ever notice it's low, I'll drain the crankcase as well......................
