Out of curiosity do your gear driven cams make much noise?

FWIW they can rattle a little if the gear lash is not set correctly.. For me it's common to see the inner gears a little loose but I've had to adjust the outers also..

Nope. They are actually quieter than chains. I'd like to take credit for my diligence but I just got lucky with a perfect fit. No clack, no whine.

My gears are pretty quite - the flywheels are true <.001 and the gears are set up properly - I have set them up on wheels @ 0025 -.003 out of true and they are noisier because you have to run the gears a little loose - they last good but sound like an old Panhead with solids. Don't run an oil pump like a Fueling if the wheels are not true, the oil pump tolerances are too close and you may have problems - ask me how I know - Eastcoast Jim
