So can the 255s be dynod properly with a PCV or am i wasting my time.
I think a waste of time; cannot make any timing changes with the PCV and timing changes may be required to dial in the tune on the 255s. Having said that, any tune will be better than a map and when on the dyno, your tuner can tell you if timing changes should be made to optimize the tune.

Too much compression with the early intake close of the 583. 9.7 corrected and 204psi CCP; might be OK for some but a bit on the high side for me.
You can tell if your ACR's are on with a compression check. To get an accurate one. You will need to pull the fuse or unplug them under the tank.
If the biggest complaint is how it starts. Get a flash base tuner that allows you to take timing out while starting. You might be set up at 5 BTDC now and changing that to 0 helps with starting. I can't recall if the PC5 has this option. BUT you can try. Go to the ignition table and pull -5 in the 0-5 columns in the 500 rpm range. If this table is all zero's. I would suggest a different starting cal.
Remove the system relay from fuse block to disable ACR. I think system relay is #11 in fuse block.
IIRC, with stock heads and head gasket, you should see about 200psi with the 255 cams. If the ACRs are working, you will probably see 170ish; I think, not sure how much compression the ACRs bleed off. If the bike is FBW, you will need to manually hold the throttle plate open.
Another way is to run 12v straight to starter. This bypasses several things. Plus you won't be fighting the electronic controlled throttle blade.
Yep, Key off, spark plugs out, starter button or jumper wire from main Positive lead to the solenoid trigger (green wire), turn engine over until compression gauge stops showing PSI increase, not necessary to open throttle, will just take a few more revolutions to reach max PSI, this method leaves ACRs, Fuel Pump, Ignition off line.
Just rented a compression gauge. Gonna check. So yall are saying if my pressures arent equal or very close i have a timing issue? Also just received map from fuel moto. Havent looked at it or loaded it.
Smart guys, especially if you want to try and use the PC..
Well seeing as how i got laid off a month ago. Im not ready to give up yet and spend more on other cams. Ive read plenty of people are happy with these cams, im trying to be one of them on another note, i appreciate the help you guys. Soon as i get back from gettin kids from school im checkin compression. Stand by.
