Default Rocker Box

2001 Road Glie TC88

A while back I noticed oil coming out from the rocker box gaskets. I replaced them and all was good for about a month or so. Now the rear cylinder is leaking out the gasket again. could the breathers be plugged or what else should I check. I took off the upper rocker box cover cleaned it up and retorqued the bolts but its still leaking. Any ideas?

Leaking from upper or lower gaskets? Check to make sure all the breather parts are clear. You can enlarge the drain holes in the rocker arm support plate. Did you clean the bolt holes out and use blue locktite when reassembling? Did you follow the proper tightening/torque sequence? If you replaced the lower gasket, did you install it correctly? Installing it flip/flopped will block the breather passage.

Hope this helps.

The answer to all of those is yes. Except I am not sure if the lower gasket was placed correctly.(rear cylinder) I know the front one was place correctly. and its leaking on the rear so I am gonna pull my tank again and check it all out.
