Pay no attention to this guy. All he puts out is pure BS bad advice. If you follow his advice you're more than likely to damage to your bike. You can't read an oil pressure gauge while you're riding unless it's mounted on your bars. You can usually sense what rpm you're running in by the sound of the motor. I don't know why you would even put "Stop Smoke" in your motor. And lastly oil doesn't change it's viscosity in a couple of thousand miles even under severe conditions.
I appreciate the feedback. Do you have any suggestions to diagnose the issue?
If the bike is new to you, it can't hurt to do an oil & oil filter change first. It's in the manual. I use 20W50 oil in my bikes all year round. I run the HD 360 in my 1994 and HD Syn3 in my 2014. Everybody has a personal preference & I don't want to start another oil thread.
Change the oil & filter, then ride the bike and see if the light stays off. If the light comes back on then you might have to have the dealer or indy shop look at it.

Thanks for the input, definitely planning an oil change asap.
You stated that the oil light only came on for an instant that one single time. I wouldn't exactly call that an issue. If it starts to happen on a regular basis and more frequently, that would then be an issue to look into and an oil change isn't going to do anything to keep that from happening. Just keep an eye on it as best you can for a while. If you want to change the oil though, go ahead, it's your money and your bike.
