A friend told me if I was looking to get cams he would use the Tman 555. I have a HD 2017 Lowrider S with the 110 motor. I am about to install my TBR exhaust and Power Commander V and get it dyno'd. I figured if I was looking to do anything like cams now is the time before the dyno. I do pretty normal riding but am always looking for more power. Is this the best cam for me?
I have also been recommended a Mackie 585 and a Woods 777. Not sure all the differences or whats best for my setup.
Are you going to do the install yourself? If so call fuelmoto and pick their brains. They will be able to provide you with a proven stage 1 or stage 2 package and a map.
if your not going to bump the compression (which I would HIGHLY recommend doing),it really dosnt leave a lot of cams that will really work well.if you go to 10.0-1 to 10.5-1 you`ll open your options to tons of different cams.even the 555 cams will want to be set in the 10.25-1 area (we set them @ 10.5-1).if your looking for a good, all around mild cam (good power & TQ from 2200-5500) set compression @ 10.0-1,and install S&S .570`s
I agree with Kirby.
At 10.2 cr, you open the door to S&S .570's, Andrews 57, Wood 6-6, and the list goes on.
At the 9.2, 9.3 OE compression, not many choices.

You mention setting the s&s 570 at 10.0. Would they still work ok at 10.2 or is 10.0 better/safer?
10.2-1 would be fine for the.570.one poster said the 7H woods cams,if your going to that one or anything close, you better get compression up around 10.5-1 minimum
