Scott... I am not that impressed with the 37G cams I have in my bike - wondering if I could just drop the Andrews 26G into my current build:
98CI
10:1
Killer Carb
Daytona Twin Tec ignition
RB Racing Black Hole
no headwork
The bike currently does get up and go, but I have to really jump on the throttle; mostly upper RPM to really get it going.
Thanks! (sorry for the hijack!)
That's odd.
That 37, at 10.0 cr usually hits good.
The 26 MIGHT help, some, but the squeeze it too much for it.
Have a strong suspicion that your pipe may be a bit too free flowing.

Hmmm... any recommendation on a pipe? D&D Fat Cat?

I believe Scott is right about your pipe. I got rid of my RB Racing LSR 2-1 and put on a Supertrapp. At 2800 rpm I picked up 20% more torque. I have 2 Dyno sheets in the dyno charts section under thread "only the beginning". Check it out. The gold line in the first chart is with the LSR and the black line is with an old E pipe. The second Dyno chart is with the Supertrapp... A gain of 16 lbs of torque is huge especially at the bottom end.... And that was all because of a pipe swap....

I believe you. Kinda bummed, gonna have to see if anyone will want to buy it.
May have to give up some sound for performance.
Is that what I need, more back pressure; restriction at the exhaust?
Not sure how the D&D Fat Cat runs - maybe better with the quiet baffle? Maybe a little more restrictive, more back pressure?

I have a 2000 flhtci, with 88 tc. I usually ride 2 up. I'm tired of having to use full throttle when we take off. I have true duals stage 1 breather and a pc3. Looking for cam options. I guess I'm aggressive I want it to go when I twist the throttle. Thanks in advance
If you're having to use full throttle to take off, something is wrong with your motor or you're passenger is obese.
