Engine paint flaking
So I have a 91 Heritage Classic I am rebuilding. But the paint it has looks bad. See attached images. How Can I fix this to make it look nice, powdering seems like a good idea but I got a quote for like $1000 to strip it and powder it.

I would probably have the heads redone.. As far as the engine cases go, I'd mask off the area and paint with HD textured paint. I touched up a bagger inner primary case where I cut off the shifter boss. You can't tell where the paint ends and the powder coat starts and it's going on 10 years now.

the H-D texture paint works very well,,,if you can't blast it, clean it up real nice with a soft wire brush and some light sandpaper then spray it,,,,,always looks good and easy to get.
