Engine Mechanical TopicsDiscussion for motor builds, cams, head work, stripped bolts and other engine related issues. The good and the bad. If it goes round and around or up and down, post it here.
wow. Seems like you’re taking it to a new level of insult. Come on man, not sure hotrods comment was that bad. Could be construed as a mild jab or sarcasm. Nonetheless being on an Internet forum and not standing in front of the person slinging the insult is getting old. I’ve been attacked on here before and it’s funny how in real world life nobody says boo. Let’s treat each other like the other person is standing there all jacked up and a little temperamental like me....haaaa. Lighten up all.
Well, he should not start something for no freekin reason, should he?
Why side with him?
I was completely T.boned by it, and thats is my reaction.
You want me to be friendly to a comment like that?
It is not happening.
This person does not know me from anyone.
It was totally uncalled for.
Why would you support his verbal action?
LOL
Seems you freely trashed SE parts and builds in a post not caring if that offended anyone. So the sarcastic reply to you seemed pretty apropos.
Back to the OP. You really should consider more cubes than the 96 you have in order to get a satisfying “more”.
And BTW for the record.... my 124’s are tuned at 14.6 AFR til about 4K then 13’s most of the way after that . So no matter what the build there is no reason to dump fuel at it AND more fuel usually does not mean more power.

Nope-you missed the train.
Not the crux of the nucleolus at all.
SinglePipedSG, I've been exactly where you are. Had a stage 1 done on a 110" and loved it. Wanted a "little more", so ended up doing headwork, bigger TB, bored cylinders, etc. for a 113 build. I loved it. Then guess what happened? I wanted more. So, I went to a 117 with more compression, a bigger cam, and a different exhaust. Now guess what? I'm wanting to go 124 this winter.
Save yourself time and money. Throw an S&S 124 in it with the proper supporting components and be done. Wait longer if you can't afford it right now. I guarantee you whatever you do next will be satisfying for a short period of time before you start foaming at the mouth again.

Our 107" Big Bore Kit, and a set of our Stage II heads, and tuned, will turn that into a fun bike!
VERY responsive, big, broad, power.
Scott
After some back and forth with a couple companies I think I am going with a hillside build. 107, stage IV heads, different cam ( toss up between a woods 555 but leaning towards the 777) going to further confirm the work and set a date to get this done! Looking forward to it!!
