Does anyone have any experience with the rocket 554 cam? I’m looking to use it in a 97bb with head work set at 9.8 compression. Bike is a 05 superglide
Not that specific one, but I have a Chris Rivas Rocket Cam in my '15 RGS. I put it in over 30,000 miles ago, and I can't speak too highly of it. Great power, across a very wide rpm range, and if I don't ride it like I stole it, (tough not to do, btw ), I can get 40-42 mpg.
It's a beast, and superbly rideable around town. You'll love it.
If you want the best feedback on your specific build, give Chris a call. (559) 441-7922.

did you end up with the 574 cam. Same as the 554 except for lift and it was designed to fit the 07 and up bikes
Chris has a long-standing personal relationship with Bassani, and he loves that pipe. Might be worth a ride to Fresno. I think you'll like the end result.
It's 2,000 round trip from here in Idaho. Otoh, I do take my golf clubs with me, and I can stay in Fresno for free, so I go for a week.
Might be a stretch for you. As long as you have a local tuner you trust, you're good to go. Get back to us if you have the cam done, and let us know how you like it.
